Governors’ School Fund

The governors’ school fund is supported by voluntary contributions made by parents for the maintenance and improvement of the fabric of the school. Our school is owned by the Diocese of Southwark (SDBE) and the improvement of the school is funded by the contributions we make to the Diocese. Like all other church schools, we rely on parental contributions as our sole source of funding to cover the payments to this maintenance scheme (similar to an insurance policy) each year.  We ask for a voluntary contribution from parents to support, this charity. If you are a UK taxpayer please also complete a gift aid declaration so that we can claim 25p in every £1 donated.

What has the Governors’ School Fund paid for recently?

Over the past few years, the governors’ school fund has paid nearly £40,000 to support the fabric of the school. This is in addition to our mandatory contribution to the SDBE scheme each year, through which we have also been granted significant funds for major works including:

  • New school roof

  • Creation of an Art,  Design and Technology classroom

  • A major project to improve the school’s waterworks

  • Electrical remediation works

  • Redecoration of the school hall

  • Lighting and audio equipment for the school hall

  • Contribution to energy bills in light of increased costs
