Welcome

Malden Parochial Church of England Primary School is a popular and successful one form entry school for children aged 3 to 11 years, within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. It is one of the Church Schools within the Diocese of Southwark and there are good links with St John’s, our local church.

References to Malden Parochial can be found dating back to 1835, when children were taught in a cottage in Church Road. In 1864, a Victorian building was opened with 47 children on roll. This has since been demolished and our Nursery is now on this site. Over the years, there have been many additions to our school building, creating a spacious, well-resourced and pleasant environment for all the children currently attending the school.

Our pupils are well-supported in their learning through excellent teaching and a wide variety of extra-curricular and off-site activities. We are very proud of both our academic achievements and the individual contributions each of our pupils make to our school.

Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Malden Parochial Church of England Primary School

When I became Headteacher in September 2023, I was immediately struck by the special atmosphere here at Malden Parochial. Not only are we a place of learning, we're a thriving community deeply rooted in the Christian values of Love, Wisdom, Joy and Peace.

These values truly shape every aspect of our school life. I see our pupils and staff embrace them daily: we love learning, care for one another, act with wisdom when making choices, celebrate the joy of discovery, and foster a school culture built on peace and mutual respect. Guided by our vision "Reflecting the Kingdom of God by Enriching and Transforming Lives" my aim is to ensure all members of our community  flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.

I'm incredibly proud of our team of highly experienced, well-loved and dedicated staff. Just as we nurture our pupils to flourish, I also ensure staff have opportunities to grow and expand their skills. This commitment to their development means they are constantly enriching their practice, which directly benefits every child in their care. Our staff truly feel valued and their commitment to high standards ensures our outcomes consistently sit well above national expectations.

Every child and their family is warmly welcomed  here. We encourage children to explore their unique gifts and support them to become confident, compassionate learners. This happens in many ways including through academic achievement, discovery in our forest school, creative expression, or acts of kindness. Our pupils grow into young people of character and purpose who enrich and transform the lives of others.

I warmly invite you to explore our website, visit our school and experience the Malden Parochial difference for yourselves.
