Governor Bio
Mary has been a governor since February 2026 and is a member of the Curriculum and Admissions committees.
After studying German, Scandinavian Studies and International Relations at the University of Surrey, Mary worked in tourism, then later for a local authority looking after town twinning and international projects.
Prior to retirement, she was a parent governor at a local secondary school and worked as clerk to the governors at two primary schools. She is passionate about children's right to an excellent education.
She is a regular worshipper at St. John the Baptist Church, Old Malden and enjoys travel and quizzing. Her son attended Malden Parochial and Mary is keen to support the school to provide high-quality education to all pupils and to ensure that they reach their full potential.
